Radiators or underfloor heating?

When you consider the expense of an extension or a conservatory / orangery, why not install a system that allows comfortable living in the coldest winter months? Fan heaters or radiators do not retain heat in a room for very long but by using our insulation board installed under the heating matting on your floor, the heat will hold for much longer because of its excellent heat retention qualities.

Because underfloor heating uses a lower temperature than standard radiators. Heating costs are reduced and savings of at least 10% on heating bills can be achieved. No bulky radiators taking up valuable space as your floor radiates the heat.

Suitable for carpets, tiles, stone, laminate. Karndean etc.

Because of the protective screed we apply to the heating cables, they never actually come into contact with your floor covering. Therefore there are few restrictions as to what you can use as your finished floor. Carpets for example should be laid using a low tog rating underlay, so as not to suppress the heat.

Tiles and stone may be laid direct on the surface.

Karndean or laminate may have to have an additional levelling compound laid prior to installation (please check with your supplier).

Temperature control by easy to use thermostat

With our unique thermostat, operating the system could not be easier, allowing you to set up to 5 programmes per day at various temperatures. The temperature target can be ascertained by our air or floor sensor. Once the temperature is reached your thermostat will cut in and out to save any unnecessary electricity. We carry out the initial set up of your thermostat, including any particular programmes you have specified for the heating.

Mobile phone or tablet use

If you're running late from work or have forgotten to turn your heating off when you go away, just a couple of clicks on your phone / tablet allows you to operate your heating from afar.

Simply connect the thermostat to your home Wi-Fi and you're good to go!

Insulation

Utilising an insulation board, we can minimise any downward heat loss & waterproof at the same time. Thus ensuring the heat travels upwards achieving a faster & more responsive system, that makes it economical to run, as opposed to the older systems installed in the 90s. Our boards come in 6mm, 12mm & 20mm, and are made from extruded polystyrene-modular with a polymer modified cement coating each side incorporating glass fibre reinforced mesh, making them totally impervious to water & high tensile / impact strength. The R value of a 20mm board is 0.58.

Warranties

The system comes with our suppliers lifetime of floor warranty & 3 years for the thermostat (extendable) .

Once your system is installed, activation of warranty can be done on line or by phone.

All systems are thoroughly checked before we leave your project. However in the unlikely event a problem has developed under your tiles etc.,

call us and we will arrange one of our suppliers / engineers to identify and correct the problem. Using thermal image cameras, they are able to detect a problem to within a tiny area of your floor thus avoiding the need to replace all the flooring.

What happens if anything goes wrong once I have tiled my floor?

All systems are thoroughly checked before we leave your project.

However in the unlikely event a problem developed under your tiles etc.

Call us and we will arrange one of our suppliers engineers to identify & correct the problem.

Using thermal image cameras, they are able to detect a problem to within a tiny area of your floor.

Thus avoiding the need to replace all the flooring, using an easy to fit repair kit.

We can then arrange replacement of tiles, from the spares that are left.
